Friday Fame: Meg Ryan

Ohhh that smile, that hair! Everyone knows who Meg Ryan is, even if they haven't seen a single one of her films. She's just infectious like that. In all the movies I've seen her in I can't help but love her character. She is so lively and interesting to watch and in my opinion she is one of the masters of Romantic Comedy. My personal favorites are You've Got Mail and Kate and Leopold. I can watch them over and over again and laugh and "Aww" every time. I wish that the Romantic Comedies today were made clean like these!
"Clearly romantic comedy is my franchise genre, I don't mind saying that, it's true. I love doing them and hopefully always will do them. I don't feel particularly typecast because I think I do so many different kinds of things. Whether they're seen or not is another issue."
Meg Ryan is also known for her roles in Top Gun, Sleepless in Seattle and When Harry Met Sally (to name a few). She also provided the voice for the lead character in Disney's Anastasia. As of now she is making her feature directing debut on Into the Beautiful, a Comedy-Drama that is currently in pre-production.
Besides being a very successful actress Meg Ryan's taste in fashion is very much like her personality. Fun and real easy-going. When browsing through photos of her I saw a lot of solid colors (mostly black and white) paired with the simplest of accessories like sunnies, a hat and a simple cross body bag. Many of her photoshoots however were more colorful and bold but still very much Meg Ryan.
