Fashion Finds: Denim

Have you entered our e.l.f. cosmetics giveaway yet? It ends tomorrow!

Denim is one of the most versatile fabrics and, let's face it, we all love jeans. They're the ultimate trouser. Choose a dark wash for a chic look or a light wash for a grunge look, go bold with neon colors or accessorize with straight black; the possibilities are rather endless. I'm also one who wears jean trousers in the summer (no shorts for this girl). I've chosen a few denim fashion finds that I've stumbled across lately, priced from highest to lowest.

Wide Leg Trouser Jeans $79.50, Gap
I found these via Carrie of This Free Bird - check out how she styled them! I love the high rise of the waist and the seam down the front. The waist gives you so many options for playing around. You could tuck in an embellished top or pair an ornate belt with a solid tee. And the flare at the bottom gives it such a funky '70s vibe. Love!

Matelot Flare Jeans $60.34, ASOS
I'm all about character with jeans. They're such a popular look that sometimes I feel like I'm fading into the background when I wear them, so I like jeans that really catch my eye for a reason. These give me ideas of nautical trends - wouldn't they look cute with a striped three-quarter-length shirt, perhaps in red-and-white?

LC Lauren Conrad Pencil Jeans $54.00, Kohl's
These are very Audrey Hepburn. You can dress them up to look like cigarette pants rather than jeans. Pairing them with perhaps a black or leopard print flat would look so cute.

Denim Button Pintuck Skirt £25.00, Dorothy Perkins
To me denim skirts wax and wane between dated and nostalgic. The latter is obviously the more attractive opinion. I think it's all in how you style them. This one could be cute with tights and a sweater in the winter or with a light cardigan in the summer. I love the way the pintucks give it a touch of whimsy.

Floral Print Five-Pocket Skinny Jean $24.80, Forever 21
There's nothing more intimidating than printed jeans! What do you wear with them? How much print is too much? I love this floral pair from Forever 21 - they print makes a statement, but the color tone is muted enough to keep it quiet. An oversized sweater would look cute with them.
