How To Unwind From A Day At Work
I know what it's like to have either a long and boring or long and wonderful day at work and to come home and feel tired and just "done". These are a few things that I do after walking through my front door to help me unwind and relax my body and mind in preparation for bed.

1) GET COMFORTABLE
Changing your clothes will break the connection your brain might still have of being in work mode. You're now in a different setting which calls for different clothes. Preferably pajamas. There's nothing better than being comfortable! Depending on how I am feeling I'll remove my make-up and wash my face at this time or wait until right before bed.

2) TEA TIME
I try not to eat very close to bed time (sometimes if I'm starving I'll have a little snack) so that is why I opt for tea. My current choice is green lemon, which is so much more tasty than just plain green tea. Drinking this is relaxing and the antioxidants are great for your body. Make sure it's decaf too!

3) SELF INDULGENCE
After being gone for hours I can't wait to sit on the couch with my laptop and kick my feet up on our ottoman. During this time I like to see what's new via social media and also respond to any messages I might have. Obviously, Pinterest and YouTube are also common activities. This last step can be replaced with some devotional time or book reading, writing in a journal, listening to music or watching the latest episode from your favorite TV show. Just make sure to limit this down time because you want to make sure you have a restful night's sleep for the next day ahead!
