Beauty Box 5: Cat Eye Tutorial

This month's Beauty Box 5 box was full of things I was excited to try (a facial sheet mask, cleansing gel, cooling body cloths, perfume and an eyeliner)! I've been using a liquid eye liner for a few months now and quickly got used to using it so I wondered what it'd be like going back to a pencil. It was surprisingly creamy and easy to apply! So today I thought I'd share a cat eye tutorial, something I've never done before! Now, there are so many different versions of the cat eye, this one is a bit thicker but doesn't extend out as much. You can make it look more or less dramatic, depending on your preference. I hope this tutorial is helpful to you!




STEP 1
I like to start out by drawing a thin line in the middle of my eyelid. I think this helps with balancing it out.



STEP 2

Next, extend the line to the inner corner of your eye while gradually making it thinner.



STEP 3

Draw an outline (you can extend your line outwards or even come down lower so it's not as thick if you'd like) and slowly fill in the empty space.



It should look something like this once you've finished filling it in.



STEP 4

Go back over any areas you need to, do some straightening or curving and make sure there aren't any little blank spaces where there shouldn't be (especially where your eyelid and root of your eyelashes meet).




STEP 5

Add your favorite mascara and you're done!
