Macro Fest

Some of you may remember my post sharing a fiew of Nixia Varela LaMar's looks at Costa Rica Fashion Week back in October. We were contacted by the designer again with photos of her pieces from Macro Fest where she presented her newest collection. Macro Fest was held in the Plaza Catedral in the colonial sector of Panama City called Casco Antiguo. Here is what they had to say about the event/collection...

"It is our summer now in Panama and because the event was in the open air at night with a nice breeze, she did light, summery pieces in colorful fabrics. She also included some of her hand-painted clutch bags. It was a departure from some of her more formal, serious work, but the collection was enthusiastically received!"

I can understand why! I love the beautiful bright colors and floral prints. These are definitely the kinds of pieces we all need in our wardrobe for the warm weather ahead!

What do you think of these pieces? Which is your favorite? You can visit Nixia's blog for more photos and information here.
