I Feel Beautiful
During the past year, I have really begun to ponder on those things that make me feel beautiful and feminine. Here are three things that make me feel quite sparkly:
Fragrances
Perfume is like the story of an outfit. It completes and seems to set the tone for whatever occasion (or non occasion) you're preparing for. I've just recently allowed myself beauty moments where I walk into Sephora, and take in all sorts of fragrances. Here are a few favorites that I've chanced upon over the year:
♥ Miss Dior Cherie L'eau: This fragrance seems to be overlooked for its more popular counterpart, Miss Dior Cherie. I found it to be very floral and fresh, and slightly sweet! For those who found the classic Cherie to be a bit too sweet for their tastes, L'eau is perfect!
♥Princess by Vera Wang: Every girly girl at heart should own this fragrance. It's playful, and romantic. Beautiful scent!
♥Burberry Brit Sheer: Aside from being turned on by the fact that it carries a bit of my name, and that it's a London symbol, I found this scent to be a lovely, everyday perfume. It's light, slightly floral, but definitely softer than the original.
Fragrances come with two great pluses: The assurance that you smell radiantly every time you step outside, and the possibility to make your vanity look beautiful with various lovely bottles scattered about.
Vintage Hairstyles
I will always admire the women of the twenties, thirties, and forties, because of the great care they took to make their style radiant and elegant all the time. But in particular, some of the most beautiful facets of vintage style are the hairdos. Roller sets, finger waves, loads of hair pins; There's such an elegance to it, and I would love to be able to incorporate this into everyday, modern style!
Whimsical Jewelry
These additions are like the icing on the cake for me. I love all sorts of accessories, but in particular, I love finding pieces that are romantic, vintage (Victorian/slightly Goth inspired), and as one of a kind as possible. This piece in particular, I found on Etsy, where you can find some of the most beautiful and unique pieces around. Etsy's also very affordable for the most part, so there's no need to splurge on something fantastic, because it's well in your means!
