July Favorites

There were a lot of events and birthday celebrations during July that Jason and I both fully enjoyed but besides that not too many material things stood out to me. This is probably my shortest list of favorites of the year so far!

July Favorites - Argan Oil Hair Treatment | Style Through Her Eyes
(Please excuse the baggie. Just keeping it real folks!)

In last month's Beauty Box 5 box I received a very decent sized sample of an Argan Oil Deep Conditioning Hair Treatment. I have used it several times and still have quite a bit left. A little definitely goes a long way and I like to focus using the product on the bottom half of my hair and leave it in for about ten minutes. My hair is overdue for a trim but this argan oil has absolutely helped to make my ends not look as bad! Have you tried this before?

July Favorites - Quinoa | Style Through Her Eyes
I've been watching a lot of YouTubers use Quinoa (pronounced: "Keen-wah") to create various delicious recipes and decided that we should try it too! Quinoa is a grain-like seed. It is almost always organic, gluten free and contains a lot of protein. You can use it in salad, combine it with veggies and chicken or even eat it as a side like you would with rice. It only takes 10-15 minutes to cook too! Tip: After cooking and dispensing into a container, check for black or dark brown quinoa and remove them. They are super hard pieces that you don't want to try and chew! Usually I find just a few.

July Favorites - Sherlock on Netflix | Style Through Her Eye
My mom, brother and Casee have all been telling me to check out Sherlock on Netflix. The first episode was perfect! I liked how cleverly everything was placed together to solve the mystery along with the unexpected bits of humor. The feeling is similar to the movies with Robert Downey Jr. though it's a lot less humorous and there isn't much action involved. The second episode dragged a bit to me, but I'm still going to continue to watch it hoping that the series will only get better. My favorite line so far...

"Anderson, don't talk out loud. You lower the IQ of the whole street." - Sherlock Holmes

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll see you on Monday!
