Fashion Finds: New Beauty Products

There are some new products that are already out and coming soon that I really thought you all should know about! The first is the Maleficent collection for MAC. Maleficent is my favorite Disney villain so I'm particularly fond of this collection and excited for the movie which hits theaters May 30. Anyone else planning on seeing it? There are several different pieces in the collection that are so lovely including the Pro Longwear Lipglass in Anthurium which Angelina Jolie wore in the movie (the lipstick version looks great as well!). By the way, I highly suggest reading What It Took To Turn Angelina Jolie Into Maleficent, it's a fantastic in-depth article on the making of the character.


I also fell deeply in love with the black nail lacquer called Nocturnette after seeing Victoria's photo on Instagram. Victoria shared: "I usually stick to OPI but I am really impressed with the quality of this MAC polish. It definitely needs two coats for even coverage but the polish has a good consistency, not too thick or watery and was very easy to apply. The polish was also pretty fast drying so it didn't take long to complete both coats. The finish is a pure black gloss polish. The gloss means you can get away without a top coat and it seems to be pretty hard wearing, no chips or color fade yet."

Next up, Nouveau Cheap posted about a new line of nail polishes from Sally Hansen that will be available soon! They are called the Miracle Gel Polish (gel/polish hybrid) and last for 14 days and don't require a lamp! I am not sure if there are other polishes like this that already exist but it sounds very intriguing. The colors are so pretty and perfect for the season too!
