Love Your Body
Over the weekend my husband and I were hit hard with food poisoning. No. Fun. I was in bed for a few days and basically had time to do whatever I wanted as long as it meant using zero energy. I started thinking about beauty and body image and this is what I came up with. I'm pretty positive that the photos and quotes involved will speak for themselves as they are all beautiful and powerful! Every girl and lady needs a constant reminder of how beautiful they are so that their self-esteem will continue to be built up and they can walk around with confidence on their shoulders! Psalm 139:14 says we are "...fearfully and wonderfully made...". This verse means EVERYONE.
"As a child, I never heard one woman say to me, 'I love my body.'. Not my mother, my elder sister, my best friend. No woman has ever said 'I am so proud of my body.' So I make sure to say it to Mia (her daughter), because a positive physical outlook has to start at an early age." - Kate Winslet
"I'm never going to starve myself for a part. I don't want little girls to be like, 'Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I'm going to skip dinner.'. That's something I was really conscious of during training, when you're trying to get your body to look exactly right. I was trying to get my body to look fit and strong- not thin and underfed."
- Jennifer Lawrence

"Sure, I'd be happier with ten pounds off - wouldn't every woman? But when I looked at pictures of myself at the Emmy's, I thought I looked beautiful. I didn't tear myself apart." - Christina Hendricks
"Only loving your body when it's perfectly fit is like only loving your children when they're perfectly behaved." - Cathy Thorne

"There's no perfect outfit, body shape, or hairstyle that will make you or me beautiful. True beauty radiates from within - and I think that loving yourself and being confidant in who you are as a person is by far the most beautiful thing in the world." - Coco Rocha
"People always ask me, 'You have so much confidence. Where did that come from?' It came from me. One day I decided that I was beautiful, and so I carried out my life as if I was a beautiful girl. It doesn't have anything to do with how the world perceives you. What matters is what you see. Your body is your temple, it's your home, and you must decorate it." - Gabourey Sidibe
Remember, there isn't just one kind of beauty!
