Our Favorites from the SAG Awards

As the sun shines on awards season beautiful gowns continue to blossom around us. Okay, that was cheesy. But isn't there something about the red carpet glamour that makes us all feel unapologetically romantic? Pantsuits be darned, awards season is a time for us girls to be unabashedly girly! So let's get to the glitz: Jenmarie and I have picked our favorites from Sunday night's Screen Actor's Guild Awards to share with you all.

We both loved... January Jones

Jenmarie said: This lace Carolina Herrera dress on January Jones is stunning like a classic romance. It's so beautiful and yet simple even with all the lace. I feel like it's a dress that not a lot of people would expect anyone to choose for a red carpet event. I love out-of-the-box moments like these. This was definitely my favorite of the night!

Casee Marie said: I don't usually vibe with January's red carpet style as she seems to like very contemporary, edgy designs, but this look seems to be our meeting point. I think few people would take this dress on, like Jenmarie said, but January has the right amount of fearlessness to make it work. I'm undecided on whether or not I like the minimal jewelry look - on one hand it plays up the embellished look of the dress but on the other hand it almost makes it feel a little unfinished.

Jenmarie loved... Mila Kunis

I really like this red Alexander Mcqueen gown on Mila. The colors and pattern are very eye-catching and perfect for wanting to make a statement. However, I do think her look is incomplete and feel a nice necklace would've fixed the problem.

Casee Marie loved... Helena Bonham Carter

Everyone knows I gave Helena props for owning her uniqueness at the Golden Globes, and seeing her once more flaunting her originality in this Marc Jacobs dress was a delight. This is proof that if "Queen Helena" wants to glam it up, she certainly can - and still with her own personal flair (notice the sunnies that made a return appearance). I loved that the detailing on the dress made a statement without overpowering her. There's just something about the shoes that I adore, but I think the dress required something more like a peep-toe.

Jenmarie loved... Hilary Swank

I love a nude dress, and this flowy Versace dress is just breathtaking. As much as I love the gown, I question whether it was the best choice for Hilary. Maybe it's just me but I'm not sure the color of the dress compliments her skin color.

Casee Marie loved... Tina Fey

I love Tina, but sometimes I feel like she doesn't reach her full red carpet glam potential. She definitely surpassed it at the SAG awards with this vibrant Oscar de la Renta gown. It's feminine, but strong - much like Tina herself. I'm loving the touch of drama with the Christian Louboutin clutch and dangling Lorraine Schwartz earrings. Her make-up was flawless, light and to the point. Just an overall classy look that suited her well.

There's our top picks, ladies! What were some of your favorites from the night?
