FNO's Fifties Flair

While Tuesday night's Fashion's Night Out: The Show was a flurry of fabulous fashion it was easy for me to spot my favorite. Everybody knows that I love the Mad Men-esque style of the 50s and 60s, so it goes without saying that I completely adored the Fifties Flair trend that hit the outdoor runway at Lincoln Center. Here are my favorite looks... (I'm just going to skip over my dislike of the hair. Marge Simpson, anyone?)

Dress: Dries Van Noten
Earrings: Miriam Haskell
Brooch: House of Lavande
Bag: Lana Marks
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik

I love the shape of this Dries Van Noten dress. It's all about the curves! The red bag is such a fun pop of extra color, too.

Dress: Prada
Underskirt: Prada
Headband: Prada
Necklace: Carolee
Bag: Prada
Shoes: Prada

The neckline of this dress and the gathered waist are my favorite bits. The underskirt dresses it up even more, which is fun. And obviously a strand of pearls adds a timeless element.

Dress: Barbara Tfank
Pearls: Carolee
Bag: Valextra
Shoes: Louis Vuitton

I'm crazy about the little Louis Vuitton shoes. I love how the shades pick up on the grays in the dress, which is also lovely. The bow! So cute.

Dress: Paul Smith
Bracelet: House of Lavande
Earrings: House of Lavande
Shoes: Louis Vuitton

I really, really love this dress. The sheer overlay is so elegant. And again with the cute Louis Vuittons.

Cardigan: Tommy Hilfiger
Bodysuit: Dolce & Gabbana
Skirt: Tommy Hilfiger
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik

A cardigan over the shoulders like this is so 50s sock hop, isn't it? I love it. The Dolce & Gabbana bodysuit is gorgeous, and I love the fun Tommy skirt. The choppy cut contrasts so uniquely with the pattern.

Dress: Louis Vuitton
Belt: Louis Vuitton
Bag: Valentino
Shoes: Louis Vuitton

I think Louis Vuitton is the leader in the Mad Men-style trend right now. This dress is one of my favorites. And I love the little Valentino bag!

Cardigan: J.Crew
Skirt: Fendi
Bracelet: Miriam Haskell
Brooch: Miriam Haskell
Earrings: Miriam Haskell
Bag: Rochas
Shoes: Rochas

I'm in love with this Fendi skirt. The pattern is so delightfully vintage. Paired with the tucked-in cardi, she looks straight out of the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce office, doesn't she?

Sweater: Miu Miu
Skirt: St. John
Earrings: Carolee
Bag: Marc Jacobs
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik

I love the little collar on this Miu Miu sweater. So Sweet. And that bag is amazing!

Sweater: Aquilano.Rimondi
Skirt: Aquilano.Rimondi
Belt: Aquilano.Rimondi
Earrings: Miriam Haskell
Bracelet: Miriam Haskell
Bag: Lana Marks
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik

I really adore the textures of this look. The skirt has so many wonderful elements, and the ribbon on the belt offers a gorgeous little contrast.

Sweater: Banana Republic
Dress: White House | Black Market
Necklace, Bracelet: Carolee
Bag: Judith Leiber
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik

I was so excited to see White House | Black Market included in the show! It's a pretty well-known fact that we're big fans of White House | Black Market here at SHE. This is such a perfect example of how their pieces can be worn in a retro way as well as with a modern edge. The possibilities are endless!
